In this How to clean battery acid corrosion in electronics - Wii remote repair video, I'll show you what to do about battery leakage and how to easily repair your Wii nunchuck battery acid corrosion. To clean battery corrosion in toys (if it's white or blue battery acid corrosion) you need to use vinegar, lemon juice, or some other acidic substance to fix it. The corrosion in this Wii remote wasn't actually caused by battery acid... the battery corrosion is cause by alkaline battery leaks. By using acid for this Wii remote repair (dabbing it on with a Q-tip or cotton bud), the damaged wii remote electronics are repaired as the basic (alkaline) substance is neutralised and becomes easier to clean. You may need to use a knife or pair of scissors to leaver them out, since the battery "corrosion" may leave a residue which seems to join the battery to the connection points in your battery tray. Shake out the remaining corrosion over a rubbish bin (trash can for you Americans!) If you get any on your hands, it's worth rinsing with water. It won't kill you (unless you eat lots of it!), but it might itch a little if you leave it on your skin for too long! Secondly, find some cotton buds and some vinegar for an alkaline battery leakage and bicarbonate of soda dissolved in water for an acid battery leak. It's important to match the substance to the type of battery corrosion. You can use something other than cotton buds. They're just useful to get the vinegar to wherever the corrosion is! Thirdly, put the cotton bud in the vinegar/bicarb to soak some up, and start dabbing and wiping the areas affected by battery corrosion. The leaky battery deposits should fizz as the hard substance reacts with the liquid, producing hydrogen. Repeat until all deposits are gone! Finally, take a dry cotton bud and dab the area where the corrosion has been removed from dry. Your battery leak has been cleared up! #joltmod #hasbrowishtheythoughtofthat #thesinginghelps Please hit the bell next to the subscribe button! Mrs Jolt set up a PO box for fanmail!
